About

  • I look for design in everyday situations. Industrial grunge, typography, quirky landscapes, but I also photograph colour, form and anything aesthetic to me at the moment.

I completed a Diploma of Graphic Design and have continually worked in design, using my photography for personal projects. I prefer to shoot what I find and rarely set up shots. Quick street photography with a graphic element or a landscape that excites – although I do return to fertile ground once in a while trying to improve previous pictures or to  – but rarely succeed. Travel opens up a world of possibilities and new cities and landscapes are plundered for the lens and some of these shots appear on this site. Many more are hiding in the digital bowels and will one day also make it to this site.

I think of my photography as an extension of my graphic design, in that I am always looking for juxtaposition of elements and colour and continually find patterns or repetitive elements that I need to photograph.

I like to be surprised and always carry a camera looking for the perfect shot…which may happen one day!

I use Fujifilm APSC & Nikon DSLR cameras that produce lovely sharp high resolution (40mb+) raw files. The iPhone 16 is also becoming an increasing part of my photography and videography along with Affinity & DXO software.
